Heat unveil statue of Dwyane Wade outside team’s arena

Dwyane Wade, the first Miami Heat player to have a statue outside the team’s arena, was honored with an unveiling ceremony on Sunday. Wade, Miami’s all-time leading scorer, expressed his gratitude and reflected on his career achievements. The statue will be celebrated during Monday’s game, marking the 21st anniversary of Wade’s debut game with the Heat. Wade, a Basketball Hall of Fame member, joins other Heat legends with retired numbers. The statue includes a wall detailing Wade’s career accomplishments and is located outside the team’s arena. Wade, who is now a part-owner of the Utah Jazz, was praised by team president Pat Riley as the greatest player in Miami Heat history.
