Votes are currently being counted at a center for the Haryana Assembly polls, with the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress locked in a tight battle. The BJP seems to be leading in seats similar to the 2019 election, while the Congress is improving its tally but still behind the majority mark of 46 seats. As of 10:15 a.m., the BJP was leading in 41 seats, the Congress in 34, and other parties and Independents in a few seats. The voter turnout was nearly 68% and results are being closely watched as parties vie to form the next government in Haryana.
