Govt. targets inauguration of 100,000 new houses by December



Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is focused on providing homes for all eligible citizens by 2029. He conducted a review meeting with the Housing Department to discuss plans for a large-scale event in December where 1,00,000 new homes will be handed over to beneficiaries. The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite an MoU with the Central government for the PMAY 2.0 scheme. He also set a target to complete an additional 760,000 houses by 2026. The Housing Department is using drones to monitor construction quality and measurements, with plans to extend this to larger housing layouts. Mr. Naidu approved the deputation of 597 personnel to strengthen the workforce and ensure all housing layouts have essential infrastructure.
