Four staff of Coimbatore Central Prison suspended over convict’s death



The Coimbatore Central Prison administration has suspended four jail staff members following the suspicious death of a life term convict. The deceased, P. Jesudas, was found dead in a prison toilet and the four suspended staff members were in charge of the section where he was found. The Race Course police are investigating the death, as some injuries were found on Jesudas’ body during the post-mortem examination. Prison Superintendent Senthil Kumar took action by suspending deputy jailer Manoranjitham, assistant jailer Vijayaraj, chief head warder Baburaj, and grade-I warder Dinesh pending further inquiry into the incident.
