Former Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby seeks to replace home detention with curfew due to new job

Former Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby is asking a judge to replace her court-ordered home detention with a curfew due to a new job that requires travel throughout Maryland. Mosby was convicted of mortgage fraud and perjury and sentenced to a year of home detention. Her attorneys argue that the current restrictions hinder her ability to work effectively. Mosby’s new role overseeing mental health services across the U.S. requires travel. Prosecutors alleged she lied on mortgage applications and received a gift that led to her conviction. Mosby maintains she did not intentionally make false statements. Her attorneys are seeking more flexibility in her home detention conditions to allow her to fulfill her work obligations and support her family.
