The Commissioner of Food Safety in Telangana conducted inspections at shawarma outlets in Secunderabad to ensure food safety standards. Some outlets were found to be operating without proper licenses, failing to display licenses, lacking medical records for food handlers, and not following proper pest control measures. Other violations included uncleanliness, improper food storage practices, and missing use-by dates on perishable items. Synthetic food colors were also found and discarded on-site. These findings raise concerns about hygiene and food safety at these outlets.
