A fire broke out at the main branch of the State Bank of India on Old Jail Road. Firefighters quickly responded and were able to extinguish the fire with the help of bank employees and locals. Luckily, the bank was closed for Diwali, so no one was harmed. However, there was some damage reported. The Regional Fire Officer confirmed the incident and suggested that a short circuit may have been the cause. Thankfully, the fire was contained and did not cause significant damage to the bank’s property.
