DNC says it will reimburse government for First Lady Jill Biden’s Delaware-Paris flights

The Democratic National Committee plans to reimburse the federal government for First Lady Jill Biden’s flights to and from Paris to attend her son Hunter Biden’s trial. The reimbursement is for the first-class travel of the First Lady, as is standard practice for political events. The First Lady’s flights were especially notable because they included a trip to France for D-Day commemoration ceremonies. First Ladies do not have the option to fly commercially due to security concerns and always travel with a full Secret Service detail.
