A family in Queensland, Australia is selling their dream home to fund life-saving therapy for their daughter, Tallulah Moon, who has a rare degenerative brain disease. Tallulah’s decline started suddenly after her first birthday, leading to a diagnosis of SPG56. Her mother, Golden Whitrod, has been tirelessly researching and fundraising for an experimental gene therapy that could help Tallulah. The therapy requires $3 million to manufacture before going through clinical trials. The family has launched a foundation called Genetic Cures for Kids to raise funds. Despite sacrificing their home, their goal is to give Tallulah the life she deserves and help other families facing similar challenges.
