Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, announced that the Delhi government will soon provide a monthly stipend of ₹1,000 to women above 18 years of age as part of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana. He made the announcement during a padayatra in Model Town and Timarpur areas. Kejriwal also emphasized his party’s commitment to delivering high-quality public services and criticized the Lieutenant-Governor and BJP for halting welfare programs. He defended his government’s initiatives, including free electricity, water, education, and healthcare, stating that he is spending money on the people’s welfare.
