California COVID-19 vaccine mandate lawsuit sees new life

A California lawsuit challenging a COVID-era vaccine mandate for Los Angeles school workers was given new life by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The court ruled that the workers could continue with the case, as there was a possibility that the mandate could be reinstated in the future. The court also recognized the argument that the COVID-19 vaccine may not effectively prevent the spread of the disease. This ruling comes after California reversed a vaccine mandate for students and rolled back COVID-19 restrictions. Additionally, there have been other lawsuits challenging vaccine mandates in the state.
