Bomb threat at private school in Erode found to be a hoax

On Friday, October 4, 2024, a private CBSE school in Erode, Tamil Nadu, received a bomb threat via email. The school, C.S. Academy, took immediate action by alerting the district police and conducting a search with the bomb detection and disposal squad and police dogs. Luckily, no explosives were found, and the threat was deemed a hoax. Students were sent home early as a precaution. Similar incidents have occurred in other schools in the area recently, with email bomb threats turning out to be false alarms. An investigation is ongoing to track down the sender of the email.
