Bolivia’s Morales says vehicle fired upon as political tensions rise

Bolivian ex-president Evo Morales claimed that his vehicle was fired upon, amidst political tensions in the country between his faction and the government of President Luis Arce. Morales posted a video showing bullet holes in the windshield and an injured driver. The government criticized Morales for causing unrest with road blockades, accusing some of his allies of being armed. Morales and Arce, both part of the same political party, have clashed over the past year. Bolivia is facing economic challenges such as gas production decline, inflation, and drained foreign reserves. Morales is also facing allegations of relationships with minors, which he strongly denies.
