Income-seeking investors have plenty of opportunities despite the recent volatility in the 10-year Treasury yield. The yield has been climbing steadily this fall, reaching over 4% after Donald Trump’s re-election. However, it has since cooled to around 4.3%. BlackRock’s Rick Rieder suggests focusing on shorter-duration bonds, like high yield bonds and collateralized loan obligations, for solid income without taking on too much risk. He also recommends looking at fixed income in Europe and securitized assets. Overall, there are plenty of options for investors to generate income without compromising on quality.
