BJP protected waqf assets and will continue to do so, says Joshi

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi stated that the BJP has been working to protect waqf properties and will continue to do so in the future. He emphasized that the BJP will not allow the waqf board or land grabbers to take over properties belonging to the poor, commoners, and farmers in the name of waqf property. Joshi criticized the Congress government for misleading the public on the waqf issue, accusing them of having a culture of misguiding people. He highlighted the Anwar Manappadi committee report which revealed misuse of waqf properties by influential Congress leaders. Joshi urged the public to stay vigilant and regularly verify their land records to prevent their property from being claimed as waqf assets. He also mentioned the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill of 2024. Former Ministers Govind Karjol, Murugesh Nirani, and others were present during the press conference.
