West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose has called for an emergency Cabinet meeting to address the demands for justice in the case of the murdered and allegedly raped Kolkata doctor. He has directed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to discuss the issue and consider replacing Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal as per the people’s demand. Governor Bose emphasized the importance of the government taking responsibility and upholding the rule of law in the State. He believes that ignoring the public demand for action will not be beneficial and that the government must address the situation promptly.
