Ball in BJP’s court to hold early polls in Delhi, no decision yet on next CM: AAP

Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj held a press conference on September 16, 2024, announcing that CM Arvind Kejriwal will resign and early elections will be held in November. The AAP has put the decision in the BJP’s hands, challenging them to face Kejriwal. The process of choosing the new chief minister will begin after Kejriwal’s resignation is accepted by the Lt Governor. The AAP believes that these elections will be fought on the plank of “honesty” and that there is a strong desire among the people for early polls. Kejriwal’s decision has sparked discussions among common people, and the party sees it as a historic incident.
