Bag of cash doesn’t stop jurors from convicting 5 defendants in $40 million food fraud scheme

Five jurors have been accused of trying to give more than $40 million in a feeding program for children during the pandemic. Two of them were dismissed for misconduct before the trial began. One person tried to bribe a juror with a $120,000 bag, leading to widespread attention. The FBI continues to investigate the bribery attempt, and fraud trial jurors are seeking to determine who tried to make the bribe. The defense claims that the jurors were misled into believing they were helping children in need. The trial is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case progresses.
