Asyad Group to prepare development plans for Port Sultan Qaboos

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) and Asyad Group have signed an agreement to manage and develop Port Sultan Qaboos (PSQ) in Muscat. The agreement aims to promote tourism and commercial activities, improve logistics connectivity, and attract foreign investment. The development plan includes three stages, with the first phase focusing on infrastructure rehabilitation and updating equipment. Asyad Ports has invited bids for the renovation of the cruise terminal at PSQ to enhance the tourist experience. The cruise ship season in Oman is between October and April, with plans to attract more tourists and increase the number of ship visits.
