Arrested MLAs Nagendra and Munirathna released after being granted bail

Congress MLA B. Nagendra was released from jail after being granted bail in a multi-crore scam case. He claimed he was harassed by the Enforcement Directorate and accused them of trying to destabilize the government. The ED had filed a chargesheet calling him the “mastermind” of the scam. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Munirathna was also released on bail in a rape case. The Special Court directed him to cooperate with investigators and not threaten witnesses. The SIT is probing multiple cases against him. Both MLAs have been embroiled in legal troubles, with Nagendra facing allegations of corruption and Munirathna facing serious criminal charges.
