AMFI Chief Executive calls for greater awareness among investors on mutual funds in Andhra Pradesh



Chalasani Venkat Nageswar, the Chief Executive of the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI), shared that the total investments in regulated mutual funds in India amount to ₹67.05 lakh crore, with Andhra Pradesh accounting for ₹89,000 crore and Visakhapatnam for ₹11,500 crore. AMFI organized an awareness program on mutual funds for students and the public as part of the World Investors Week. Nageswar emphasized the importance of financial literacy and highlighted the safety of regulated mutual funds compared to unregulated markets. He also mentioned that SIPs are a great investment option for those with limited income. The discussion at the roundtable highlighted the need for more awareness and education on mutual funds in Andhra Pradesh and Visakhapatnam to encourage more investments in the capital market.
