Woman calls date with convicted Denver cardiologist Stephen Matthews

A victim named Allie shared her terrifying experience of going on a date with convicted Denver cardiologist Stephen Matthews, who drugged and sexually assaulted multiple women. Allie described feeling physically ill and losing her memory after Matthews mixed a drink for her without her consent. She managed to escape his home but struggled with anxiety, depression, and nightmares since then. Allie plans to testify at Matthews’ sentencing and advocate for the maximum sentence. She believes there are more victims of Matthews who have not come forward. Despite the trauma, she has found support through advocacy organizations. Matthews is currently held in Denver jail on a $5 million bond.
