Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform Max saw significant growth in the third quarter, adding 7.2 million global subscribers and reaching a total of 110.5 million subscribers by the end of September. This growth has been a bright spot for the company as its traditional TV networks face challenges from cord cutting and a soft advertising market. Despite a decrease in revenue overall, the streaming business showed an 8% increase, driven by higher advertising revenue and global average revenue per user. Other media companies, like Netflix, Disney, and Comcast, have also reported subscriber growth in their streaming platforms, highlighting the ongoing shift towards digital entertainment.
