Trop stingrays safely reach aquarium after Milton

Seven cownose stingrays were safely relocated to The Florida Aquarium after riding out Hurricane Milton in a touch tank at Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. Despite the stadium’s fabric roof being damaged by the storm, the stingrays were unharmed. The stingrays spend the MLB season in a touch tank at Tropicana Field and are now in their own exhibition space at the aquarium during baseball’s offseason. The Rays will assess the storm damage and determine next steps before their next game in March. The Florida Aquarium and its animals were also unharmed during the storm.
