Spacex Starship Launch: SpaceX’s Starship makes history with first-ever launch pad catch | – Times of India



SpaceX made history by launching its massive Starship rocket and successfully catching the returning booster using mechanical arms at the launch pad. The 400-foot tall Starship lifted off from Texas and returned to the launch pad instead of being destroyed like its predecessors. Elon Musk raised the stakes by attempting to bring the booster back to the launch pad. The launch tower used metal arms to catch the descending booster, which was a success. The Starship continued its journey around the world while the booster landed in the Indian Ocean. SpaceX’s successful booster recoveries have saved money and accelerated launch rates, with plans to do the same with Starship.
