South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem says Trump choosing a woman VP would help him win

On May 27, 2022, at the annual National Rifle Association (NRA) convention in Houston, Texas, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem spoke in the NRA-ILA leadership forum. Noem mentioned that she believes a woman should challenge President Trump’s vice-presidential election bid to promote change. She emphasized the importance of supporting women in politics and mentioned how she believes Trump should win. Noem also highlighted the impact of women voters and how they could influence Trump’s presidency. The controversy surrounding Noem’s decision to withdraw her support for Trump as his running mate was also discussed. The recent developments in her career, including her decision to prioritize her job in South Dakota, were mentioned. Despite previously having confidence in her nomination as Trump’s running mate, recent events led her to reconsider her position. Noem’s strong stance on protecting children from harm, as evidenced by her decision to pardon a woman who killed her abusive ex-boyfriend to protect her children, was also discussed.
