San Diego FC to play first MLS game at LA Galaxy

The newest Major League Soccer team, San Diego FC, will make its debut against the LA Galaxy in Carson on Feb. 22-23, 2025. Their first home match will be on March 1 against St. Louis City SC at Snapdragon Stadium. The team recently hired coach Mikey Varas and signed Mexican star Hirving “Chucky” Lozano. They will have the opportunity to select up to five current MLS players during the expansion draft and have the first overall pick in the MLS SuperDraft. The team is owned by Egyptian billionaire Mohamed Mansour, the Sycuan Tribe, and San Diego Padres star Manny Machado.
