Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson instructed new quarterback Sam Darnold to “Trust me,” and Darnold did just that by throwing a 97-yard touchdown pass to Jefferson in a game against the San Francisco 49ers. Jefferson caught the pass in double coverage, outraced the defenders, and scored, giving the Vikings a 10-0 lead. This play was a career-long reception for Jefferson and the second-longest play in Vikings history. It was an impressive moment that showcased Jefferson’s skills and chemistry with Darnold.
