Ripple launches new fund to drive blockchain innovation in Japan and South Korea

In June 4, 2021, a photo of a cryptocurrency known as XRP was taken in Krakow, Poland. Ripple, a blockchain company, aims to bring innovation to the XRP ledger to make cross-border payments easier. XRP is a native cryptocurrency of Ripple and is used by corporations for building open-source, public blockchain ledgers. Ripple highlighted the importance of partnerships, developer grants, startup investments, and community growth for the expansion of XRP ledger. They also mentioned that they are focusing on expanding in Asia-Pacific region by collaborating with companies like SBI Holdings in Japan. Ripple also plans to participate in World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, where they will provide XRP ledger for official expo NFTs. They have also launched XRP payment solutions with SBI Holdings in Japan. Ripple has been active in the Asian-Pacific region since 2016 and has obtained licenses in Singapore and Japan. In April, Ripple announced a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar and mentioned the possibility of significant events occurring this year. They have faced legal issues in the US, where the SEC accused them of selling unregistered securities, but Ripple claims to have complied with regulations since October 2020.
