Punch thrown after Custer nabs Xfinity title shot

Aric Almirola’s win at Martinsville Speedway helped Cole Custer secure a spot in the Xfinity Series championship race. Almirola, running part-time for Joe Gibbs Racing, wasn’t playoff eligible, so his win opened up two slots for six drivers. Custer and Justin Allgaier claimed the final spots. The race was intense, with Custer involved in a feud with Chandler Smith, who threw a punch at him after the race. There were also incidents involving Custer and AJ Allmendinger. Allmendinger and Smith are both looking forward to racing hard in the championship race at Phoenix.
