Police catch caravan laden with explosives caught outside synagogue in Australia

Australian police recently thwarted a planned antisemitic attack, discovering a caravan with explosives in a suburb of Sydney. Deputy Police Commissioner David Hudson stated that the threat has been contained and there is no further danger to the Jewish community. Several arrests were made in connection with the incident, which is being investigated by over 100 officers as a counter-terrorism operation. The discovery is being treated as terrorism, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government taking steps to protect the Jewish community, including increased funding and a federal taskforce to investigate antisemitic incidents.
