Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a Unified Genomic Chip for cattle and an indigenous sex-sorted semen production technology during his visit to Maharashtra. These initiatives aim to improve dairy farming efficiency and reduce the number of stray cattle in the country. The Genomic Chip will help farmers select high-quality bulls at an early age, while the sex-sorted semen technology will provide affordable options for producing female calves. This will not only benefit farmers economically but also reduce the number of non-productive animals on the streets. Additionally, Modi will release financial assistance under the PM-Kisan scheme to over 9.4 crore farmers across India.
