New Jersey high school allegedly banned yellow ribbons honoring Israeli hostages: ‘Deeply offensive’

Fair Lawn High School in New Jersey is being accused of banning yellow ribbons and Israeli flags at a club fair, which was seen as antisemitic. The school allowed the Muslim Student Association to display a keffiyeh, but prohibited the Jewish Student Union from showing the Israeli flag. The incident has raised concerns about discrimination against Jewish students. The school’s principal defended the decision, stating that both groups were treated equally and that no students were disciplined. However, some parents and organizations are calling for concrete actions to combat antisemitism and ensure equality for all students.
