Actor Harry Lawtey shared a creepy and funny story about working with Joaquin Phoenix on the set of the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. Phoenix, still in full clown makeup, suggested a prank call to Lawtey’s mother, which ended up scaring her. Lawtey praised Phoenix’s performance, calling it a “master class” each day on set. The film, a sequel to the 2019 hit Joker, follows Arthur Fleck’s journey as Joker while he is institutionalised at Arkham. The movie also stars Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz. Phoenix’s performance in the first film earned him a Best Actor Oscar.
