Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan met in Washington DC to strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They discussed promoting investment in key sectors and enhancing bilateral trade. The ministers appreciated the historical bonds between the two countries. Pakistan also signed several MoUs with Saudi Arabia for bilateral investment agreements. Aurangzeb also met with Turkey’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek to enhance trade relations. He also discussed tax measures and energy sector reforms with the US Treasury Department Assistant Secretary for International Finance. Pakistan thanked the US for supporting the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility.
