Hundreds flee after Philippine volcano warning – Times of India

Hundreds of people in the Philippines were forced to leave their homes due to harmful gases spewing from the Kanlaon volcano. About 300 residents were evacuated as a precaution, taking shelter in schools and community centers away from the volcano. Classes were suspended and tourist spots closed due to the volcano warning. The daily emission of sulphur dioxide from the volcano reached a record high, prompting experts to warn of a potential eruption.
