The Petroleum Minister of Pakistan, Musadik Malik, welcomed a delegation from Saudi Arabia in Islamabad. Agreements worth $2 billion are expected to be signed between the two countries. The delegation, led by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, arrived ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. They will hold meetings with Pakistani companies and sign agreements in various sectors including construction, engineering, IT, and energy. This visit is part of Pakistan’s efforts to attract foreign investment and stabilize its economy. The government has already received loans from the IMF and secured commitments for foreign loans from international creditors.
