Germany wrongly name Latvia player in NL squad

Germany had to quickly correct their squad list for the Nations League after mistakenly including a player from Latvia, Dario Sits. Sits, a 20-year-old forward, plays for a Dutch second division team and made his debut for Latvia last month. The error was blamed on a “technical error in the database.” The rest of the squad for upcoming games against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Hungary remains largely unchanged, with a few players returning from injury. Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen is still injured, so Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega could earn his first cap for Germany in goal.
