Fulham, a Premier League team, is investigating allegations that its former owner, Mohamed Al Fayed, raped and sexually abused women during his time at Harrods. Lawyers representing dozens of women called Al Fayed a “monster” and detailed the abuse that allegedly occurred for over 25 years. Fulham stated they are looking into the matter and encouraged anyone affected to come forward. Al Fayed, who owned Fulham from 1997 to 2013, has been accused of assault and rape in a BBC documentary. Victims described him as manipulative and threatening. The Metropolitan Police had previously questioned Al Fayed but did not pursue charges. Al Fayed’s family has not commented on the allegations.
