Fins’ McDaniel expects Tua to play again in 2024

Marcel Louis-Jacques, who covers sports for ESPN, reports that Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel is optimistic about quarterback Tua Tagovailoa returning to play this season. Tagovailoa has been on injured reserve due to a concussion and is expected to be eligible to return in Week 8. McDaniel did not provide a specific return date but expressed hope that Tagovailoa will be back on the field this year. The Dolphins have been starting Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley in Tagovailoa’s absence, with Huntley set to continue until Tagovailoa returns. McDaniel also provided updates on other injured players on the team, including linebacker Bradley Chubb and running back De’Von Achane.
