Eutelsat, the world’s third-largest satellite operator, launched 20 satellites for its communications network using SpaceX. This marks their first move since the merger of two European companies last year. The CEO, Eva Berneke, mentioned plans to launch more satellites in the future and integrate into the telco ecosystem. Eutelsat serves clients like France’s Orange and Australia’s Telstra, with a backlog of orders worth $4 billion. They are waiting for countries like India and Saudi Arabia to open up for satellite services. The company is also exploring opportunities in in-flight connectivity with aviation companies.
