Elon Musk says all voting should be ‘in person’ while his super PAC promotes voting by mail

Tech billionaire Elon Musk stated during a town hall event in Oaks, Pennsylvania that he believes all voting should be done in person with paper ballots and ID to prevent potential voter fraud. This contradicts his own history of voting by mail and efforts by his pro-Trump super PAC, America PAC, to promote mail-in and absentee ballots. Musk also promoted debunked conspiracy theories related to Dominion Voting Systems. He has also repeated false conspiracy theories about immigration and election integrity. Musk’s statements and actions regarding voting methods have been inconsistent, and he has declined to address this inconsistency. Additionally, Musk made a joke about the pipe bombs left near the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 5, 2021, which was met with laughter from some audience members.
