Delphi murders trial: Richard Allen used power and fear to kill teen victims, prosecutors say

Richard Allen is currently on trial for the double murder of teenage friends Abigail “Abby” Williams and Liberty “Libby” German in Delphi, Indiana, in 2017. Prosecutors allege that Allen, armed with a gun, forced the girls down a hill before slitting their throats. The trial has brought renewed attention to the case, with the defense arguing that evidence is muddled and there is reasonable doubt. The trial is expected to reveal new details, including confessions allegedly made by Allen and video evidence from Libby’s cellphone. If found guilty, Allen could face up to 130 years in prison.
