Coco Gauff wins WTA Finals for the first time by rallying to beat Zheng Qinwen



Coco Gauff, a 20-year-old American tennis player, won the WTA Finals by rallying to beat Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen in the final. Gauff came from behind in the final set and won in a tiebreaker. She had defeated the world’s top two players on her way to the final. Zheng was looking to complete a successful season after reaching a grand slam final and winning China’s first Olympic tennis singles gold medal. In the doubles final, Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Erin Routliffe of New Zealand emerged victorious.
