A historic building at Knoxville College, a historically Black institution, was destroyed in a fire. Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze that erupted on the campus in Knoxville, Tennessee. The building, over 100 years old, completely collapsed and is a total loss. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Knoxville College has faced challenges, losing its national accreditation in 1997 due to declining enrollment. Efforts to regain accreditation have been ongoing, with courses currently online. The community is saddened by the loss, with hopes to reopen and restore Knoxville College in the future.
