Nick Ball successfully defended his WBA featherweight world title with a 10th-round TKO victory over Ronny Rios. Ball scored knockdowns in the third, seventh, and 10th rounds before Rios’ corner stopped the fight. Ball expressed interest in a rematch with Ray Vargas, whom he fought to a split draw previously. Rios, who has previously challenged for world titles, was coming off a knockout victory before facing Ball. On the same card, Janibek Alimkhanuly retained his IBF middleweight title with a ninth-round TKO victory over Andrei Mikhailovich.
