Boeing workers going on strike after overwhelming vote to reject contract offer and walk off the job

Machinists at Boeing voted to go on strike after rejecting a contract that would have raised pay 25% over four years. The strike will impact production of Boeing’s best-selling airliners and deprive the company of much-needed cash from delivering new planes. The union members were unhappy with the contract terms, wanting higher pay raises and traditional pensions restored.
