Utah State 4th women’s volleyball team to cancel vs. SJSU

The Utah State women’s volleyball team canceled their match against San Jose State, becoming the fourth program to do so. Boise State and Wyoming also forfeited their matches earlier, with reasons not specified. Some political figures suggested the forfeits were related to protecting women’s sports. San Jose State finally played against Colorado State after the cancellations, but lost. Coach Todd Kress praised his team for handling the situation well and expressed disappointment at missing out on opportunities to play. The Spartans will next play against San Diego State on Oct. 10.
