Australia has decided to rest all its Test players for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan in order to focus on the challenging Test series against India. Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, and Pat Cummins will not be part of the squad, leading selectors to consider a new captain for the T20 side. George Bailey, chairman of selectors, mentioned that players like Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, and others are in the running for the captaincy. The squad for the T20I series will closely resemble the group that went to the UK, with Maxwell rejoining after resting during that trip. The coaching staff will also be different, with Assistant coach Andre Borovec stepping in as head coach for the T20I series.
