2025 March Madness men’s field predictions

ESPN’s Bracketology focuses on predicting the NCAA tournament field using data points that the NCAA selection committee also considers. Joe Lunardi uses indicators like strength of schedule, NET, and team-sheet data to project the field. The 68-team bracket is the standard format, but there may be adjustments for the 2021 tournament due to the single-site format and the Ivy League not participating. A 48-team bracket would reduce the field by 10 at-large teams and 10 automatic qualifiers, with top seeds receiving byes and first-round games played on higher seeds’ home courts. A 16-team bracket would have no automatic qualifiers and limit conference participation to four teams to maintain balance.
